Weekend in NJ

We spent a little time in NJ this last weekend. We looked at another house that could perhaps be our new home. The other "tiny cottage" is still a possibility, but it is just taking so long that we are making other offers while we wait.

It was Jim's grandma's 80th birthday party, so lots of fun was had there...

Drew was asleep when we arrived, so cousin Katy shared her 'stinky' with him to keep him warm!

Here is the family posing so nicely for a portrait!

We then continued South for two nights in Brigantine with the Rotwitts! Yay! When we get together we consider ourselves one family. Depending on moods we go by the 'Talwitts" or the "Rotcotts."

Drew was so gentle with Jacob. He just wouldn't stop hugging him though. Really! Jim made a crude joke..."Drew the hugathon is over, they raised more money than they expected, you can stop hugging Jacob now..." We literally had to tell him to stop. But he was still so sweet and loving!

Jacob learned to clap that weekend, and here is mom, Rebekkah, cheering him on as he claps.

Jim offered to babysit Jacob while Doug and Rebekkah 'rested.' Here are the boys racing to the living room.

We spent as much time as possible at the beach -even though I despise sand. Here is Drew and me Sunday evening at the beach. Jim was back at the house making a fabulous dinner for everyone...salmon, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, broccoli, and a salad! Yum!

Being parents of very young children, we were all up, showered, dressed, and fed before 8am which allowed us to be pretty much the first beach goers Monday morning.

The water was cold and the air was windy, but that didn't stop those Talcott boys!

I didn't want to miss out on an opportunity to catch Drew participating in his absolute favorite activity for the archives!

And finally a family photo!
