We were doing so well with pooping on the potty, and then the flu bug arrived...diarrhea (that can't be spelled right!) for real. Poor baby! And it lasted and lasted and lasted (from Saturday through Wednesday). We finally went to the doctor yesterday and he said we have to give Drew a special diarrhea diet through the weekend so his intestines can heal. It started with a clear liquid only diet for 24 hours. We quit after 18 and even cheated before that. How can you not feed your hungry child? And we did cheat with foods from the next 24 hour food list like bananas and soy milk. I told Jim that it was absolutely not OK for us to eat in front of Drew, so we sat down to a dinner of grape Jello and blue Gatorade last night. That was funny. Jim was not excited.
And of course the doctor informed us that our child is 'incredibly' smart. Thanks, we knew that already. Now what? College at age 11? Hahahaha!
Our little seeds that we planted last week are bursting out of the soil. That is so exciting. My dad and I are going to rototille it this weekend if the weather holds out.
And finally, we had an offer accepted on a tiny (and I do mean tiny) cottage in Highlands, NJ (Jim's home town). We are in attorney review, and then there will be an inspection. We shall see. We may be in our own place before summer!
